The Cephalopod Squad are a variety of affiliated groups, from parenting, to hobbies, to politics. 

We strive for fun, informative discussions and enforce civility in discourse across the groups. 

The admin teams work together to make your experiences throughout as pleasant as we can.

This is a civil discussion group for believers, skeptics, and everyone in between. We are an evidence based group and as such we expect members to be able to provide where they are getting their information. We understand the nature of the topic doesn't always lend itself to concrete evidence but some basis for making a claim is required.

Here we will discuss the harder topics in life. If you can't talk about it at the dinner table you can here. Topics such as abortion, death with dignity, infertility etc; however we will not discuss religion or politics (there are other groups for those topics solely). This is a three strike zone on civility - if you can't adhere to the rules you'll be kicked out and banned. Let the discussion begin!

This group is for sharing recipes, ideas, triumphs, failures, and anything else food related (within reason, you weirdos). Play nice, let’s keep it fun and low maintenance. Now please teach us how to cook!

A group to share and discuss science. All science topics are encouraged, as well as questions about science and science stories. All levels of scientific literacy and subjects are encouraged to join us and learn about the wonderful world of science. From Novice to Expert and everyone in between, all are welcome in our civil discussion forum.

Pets or plants, indoors or outdoors, exotic or mundane. We want to talk all about how you spend your free time (when you have any!). Show us your animals, your collections, your creations. Teach us how to do what you do, tell us where the best supplies or destinations are, ask us all what we recommend. As always, keep it civil, follow the rules, and enjoy!

This is the place for all things entertainment and pop culture. All fandoms are welcome, and there is no gatekeeping here. Celebrate what you enjoy, and introduce others to your world. 

Bring your favorite memes, plot discussions, breaking news in the entertainment world, and anything else related to pop culture in general. We keep posts spoiler free for a couple months after new things are released, and will have spoiler alerts for posts that could have spoilers in the comments. And always be on the lookout for themed posts throughout the year, we'll celebrate holidays and major releases in a way worthy of being in the Thunderdome.

And remember, stay civil. This is a place for fun and hyping up your fandoms, not for bringing others down.

This will be a common ground for political discussion. We don't intend on being a support group for specific political views. People can come here and understand issues better. Claims will have to be backed by sources whenever possible. Follow the rules and we can all enjoy the discussion.
